Easiest Lasagna Recipe

 

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef (or half beef, half Italian sausage)
  • 1 jar (24 oz) marinara or spaghetti sauce
  • 9 lasagna noodles (regular or no-boil)
  • 15 oz ricotta cheese
  • 1 egg
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt, pepper, and dried Italian herbs (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cook noodles if not using no-boil. Drain and set aside.
  3. In a skillet, brown the beef, drain fat, then stir in marinara sauce. Simmer for 5–10 minutes.
  4. In a bowl, mix ricotta, egg, salt, pepper, and a pinch of herbs.
  5. In a 9x13-inch baking dish, layer:
  • ⅓ meat sauce
  • 3 noodles
  • ½ ricotta mixture
  • ⅓ mozzarella Repeat layers, ending with sauce and mozzarella. Sprinkle Parmesan on top.
  1. Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes. Uncover and bake 15 more minutes until bubbly and golden.
  2. Let rest 10–15 minutes before slicing.
